What is a Specification?
The Building Specification document forms part of the Contract. It clearly defines the items which the client has selected for inclusion in the build, such as carpet, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures and items making up the external facade etc.
Do I need a planning permit?
A planning permit is a legal document giving permission for land use or development and may be required by your local council, so it is best to ask your local council this question.
What is a building permit?
A building permit must be granted before your construction can be commenced and SAS can assist you to obtain the permit if needs be. You must have a planning permit before you can apply for a building permit. The purpose of the building permit is to ensure the engineering and construction plans comply with building regulations approved by a registered building surveyor.

As a custom builder we expect to help our clients through the daunting stages of the building journey including the building permit. We can assist with obtaining 6 Star Energy Ratings, Soil Tests, BAL Ratings, Building Permits and conducting Re-establishment Surveys amongst other things.
